Dr. Kim Villeneuve

Throughout her career, Kim has successfully placed CEOs and executive teams, and built Boards for companies ranging from new ventures to Fortune 500 firms. She is frequently engaged to handle challenging succession strategies and assignments, including highly sensitive CEO and Board searches.
Kim is also an elite Executive Coach, known for her work with Founders, corporate executives and those preparing for succession opportunities, and/or those developing complex leadership capability. Kim launched the Centerstone Executive Assessment Center in 2015 to create a suite of assessments for pre-selection, onboarding and leadership development now used in corporations throughout the US.
Before founding Centerstone in 1998, Kim served as a Managing Partner in a boutique executive search firm acquired by Korn/Ferry International. Prior to joining the search industry, Kim came from a $1 billion multi-unit retail organization where, as an officer of the company, she was responsible for enterprise-wide performance management. Kim started her career with Northrop Aircraft in organization development.
Kim holds a doctorate in Human and Organizational Learning at The George Washington University and a master’s degree in Management from the University of Redlands. She is a Guest Lecturer at The George Washington University doctorate program, and an Adjunct Professor at American University’s Kogod School of Business teaching graduate courses in Leading High-Performance Teams, Contemporary Leadership Styles, and Organization Diagnostics.
Kim has been a guest writer for the Wall Street Journal, the National Retail Federation and she has published numerous articles on executive search, assessment, and coaching. She is committed to promoting leadership development by offering time and expertise to groups such as the National Retail Federation, Network of Executive Women and the University of Washington, Retail Management Corporate Council.
